Q) What is your cancellation policy for lessons?
A) You must contact us the day before your lesson during business hours (between 9am-5pm) to reschedule your lesson without being charged.
If you cancel the day of a lesson, you will be charged $25 for a rescheduling fee.
If you do not show up for your lesson, you will be charged in full.
Considerable time goes into planning lessons with instructors and reserving horses for riders, therefore it is the responsibility of the rider to come to lessons and be on time.

Q) How much does a lesson cost?
A) The first ride with us is your Evaluation Ride. This one costs $65 (half an hour) and $75 (one hour).
Every following lesson with us costs $60 (half an hour) and $70 (one hour).
Q) Do I need to have riding boots before I come to my riding lesson?
A) No, we have boots you can borrow. If your child has a boot with a ½ inch-1 inch heel, that covers your ankle, they can ride with that boot.
Q) Is there anything else I need to wear for my riding lesson?
A) Riders must be dressed appropriately with pants/jeans made out of soft, stretchable fabric and shirt/sweater that will not restrict your movements. Shorts are not allowed. Please come dressed to accommodate the weather.
A) The Evaluation Ride is the first ride at our facility where the Instructor will get a first impression of the Riders skills and goals. The Rider will be given a high level introduction lesson that will touch base on grooming, tack and untack of the horse, mounting and dismounting, as well as Basic Riding Skills such as holding the reins, balance in the saddle, correct riding posture, placement of feet in stirrups and practicing simple signals and aids to guide your horse.
The simple techniques taught and mentioned in the evaluation lesson will provide the foundation for the riders’ future progression plan. The Instructor will advise the rider with a suitable horse and instructor for reoccuring lessons.
Q) When do you offer birthday partys?
A) Birthday Partys are possible every Friday at 4pm, Saturday at 10am, 12pm and 2pm and Sundays at 1pm and 3pm.
Q) Are there pony rides?
A) Yes, every Saturday from 11-1. $10 per ride. Just come by, no scheduling necessary.
Q) What days and times is Sweet Meadow Farm open?
A) The equestrian center is open, Monday - Friday, 10am-6pm during the school year. During the summer, it is open Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm because of Summer Camp. Saturday is open from 10am-4.30pm.
The equestrian center is closed on Sunday.
Q) Can we feed the horses treats, even if we are not part of the riding program?
A) Yes, please stay in the allowed areas. Signs show which areas are for programs only and the general public is not allowed. We have scoops for you to feed the horses hanging on the paddock fences. There is also a petting zoo area with chickens and bunnies that you are allowed in.
Q) Can we come by and play at the playground or see animals?
A) You are always welcome to visit the farm stand and see the petting zoo area with chickens and bunnies. You can also feed horses treats in the allowed area.
The playground and our animal barn is for programs and birthday parties only. There are signs showing you which areas the general public is not allowed in. Please respect them.
