Junior Riding Lessons
Specialized beginner lessons for children ages 4-6

Every lesson starts in the barn where they groom their pony for 15 minutes with an instructor. Then children will enter into the new indoor ring where they will learn the basics of English or western riding. We specialize in beginner lessons for young children ages 4 to 6.

Sweet Meadow Farm does not offer make-up lessons. Considerable time goes into planning lessons with instructors and reserving horses for riders, therefore it is the responsibility of the rider to come to lessons and be on time. In the event that the instructor cancels a lesson, a make-up lesson will be re-scheduled at the convenience of the rider.

Evaluation Rides allow instructors to see the “rider to be” in action.
From beginner to professional, the ride will determine what class and level the rider is put into. Beginners who may need a little extra time to practice the basics, may be asked to take a few weeks of private lessons until they can tack their own horse and walk/trot without any help.

Cost per child: Evaluation Ride 1 hour...............................................................$70 every rider must be evaluated to determine their prficiency level Private Lesson ½ hour..............................................................$55 rider receives one on one time with the instructor Semi Private Lesson ½ hour....................................................$40 two riders per instructor

Cancellation policy: Full payment is due the day of your riding lesson. There is no refund to participants who cancel within 24 hours of the lesson. In the event that the instructor must cancel the lesson, a makeup lesson will be scheduled at the convenience of the rider.
