Summer 2011 Riding Programs

A week of fun and learning for $795 (save if you sign up for all three classes)
Spend a week on the Farm this summer! Students can spend a week at Sweet Meadow Farm feeding, playing and learning how to take care of animals such as Deer, Wallaby, Emu, Baby Cows, Goats, Chickens and baby chicks, Guinea Pigs, Bunnies, Hamsters, Ferret, Mini Ponies, and Horses. Ages 4-13.

Program breakdown:
9:00-11:00: Animal Science (cost: $295)
We start the day by feeding all the barnyard animals’ breakfast, and then we groom and learn to walk the miniature horses on a lead line. Then we head over to the small animal room for hands-on learning. Children will learn how to properly hold all the different small animals, how to properly feed and care for them, and how to create a fun and clean habitat for the little critters.

11:00-1:00: Riding Lesson (cost: $345)
Each student will have a riding lesson with a licensed riding instructor. Children will be properly paired with both an instructor and a horse based on their individual riding ability. Students will also learn the grooming process, including bathing and cleaning tack; how to properly saddle their horses; and how to perform health checks. On Friday, parents are welcome to watch their children demonstrate what they have learned during the week.

1:00-3:00 Splash down with water, games,fun, pizza and more (cost: $245)
Fun and games, where we encourage team participation. Children will play Red Rover, water balloon games, and go on a treasure hunt where there are endless possibilities of fun and much more. Parents are invited on Friday from 12:30-1:00pm for Graduation day!

Extended Day offered from 3-5 PM. Cost: $25 per day.

Things your child will need:
Your child should come dressed in the morning ready to ride (riding shoes and pants or jeans, no shorts).
Things to pack in a bag: flip flops, towel, bathing suit, sunscreen lotion, and water bottle.

Deposit of $250 is required to hold a spot
Deposit is non-refundable, but may be applied toward a different week of summer programs
or private riding lessons
Balance MUST be paid in full by May 2nd

Cancellation Policy: Clients must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel lessons or programs; otherwise client will be responsible for full payment. Please contact us via email (info@sweetmeadowfarm.com) or phone (508-314-7433) to cancel or change your lesson or program reservation.

In the event of severe weather, cancellations/rescheduled programs/lessons will be rescheduled for the next available date. Birthday parties and lessons held in our Indoor Riding Ring are never cancelled due to rain.
